A quick Utah trip

Last week we drove up to Utah for Tanner's blessing. We left on Thursday and came home for a special meeting on Sunday where Craig was getting released from being bishop. We left Mindy's house about 6:15 pm on Saturday and we followed a snow/blizzard storm all the way to St. George. It took us 7 hours when normally it would only take 3 1/2 hours. It was a nail biting, white knuckle drive. We are glad to be alive. We spun out once somewhere between Beaver and Cedar City. It was terrifying but Craig pulled us out of it and we are here to talk about it. Thank goodness. I don't ever want to drive in snow again........... I believe I want to rethink that moving to Utah thing!!!!!!!!!! Here are a few pics from the trip including one that SmartAsh (Ashley) sent to us on the phone from Hawaii while driving through the blizzard. The last picture is of Ben who just came from a piano recital where he played a jazz piece. Very COOL! The blurry one is of Craig standing by the car. We tried to capture an image of the snow but it was from my phone and it didn't turn out very good. Oh well, you get the idea.

We ran into a snow storm coming back from Utah a few years ago and it's NO fun, especially when you're in a rush to get to the airport. We got there just in time but, ironically, we were chosen to be searched extra carefully at random and we barely made the flight. They even patted down baby Carter's diaper believe it or not. I guess we look like suspected terrorists.
